Magic Johnson Surprises Paul Mitchell School Owners at Biannual Meeting
To say thanks for supporting his Magic Johnson Foundation, Earvin "Magic" Johnson paid a surprise visit to Paul Mitchell School owners at their May 2013 owners summit in Beverly Hills. Each year, students and staff from the 101 Paul Mitchell cosmetology schools raise money and awareness for selected charities. Raising $5 to $10 at a time with grassroots activities like cut-a-thons, hair shows, and car washes, the schools have raised over $11.2 million in 10 years, including $2.6 million in their 2013 campaign. To date, they've donated $280,000 to the Magic Johnson Foundation.

Free Hugs suprise many in Uptown Charlotte
Tuesday September 18th, Paul Mitchell the School Charlotte's Future Professionals hit the streets of Uptown Charlotte to spread the love of Paul Mitchell. "Free Hug day" is a part of our Future Professionals Paul Mitchell Culture and every year, all the Paul Mitchell schools across the nation take part in Free Hug day. It was a rainy morning in Charlotte on Tuesday and our Future Professionals took Uptown Charlotte by storm by offering anyone a free hug. Free Hug day is all about making a difference in the community and being able to spread the Paul Mitchell culture that is so contagious. The Sandbox locks arms with the community to walk with families whose children have cancer or life-altering illnesses. At times, everyone needs some empowerment in their lives and in The Sandbox, we are digging deep to find ways to improve the lives of families in need in the greater Charlotte region. We are pulling our community together to create a more united, strong and forward-thinking community ? Get Your Believe On! Paul Mitchell the School Charlotte's Future Professionals will be doing the hair and make-up for these children, teens, and young adults prom. Their "Evening of Believing" prom will be held at Founders Hall on September 28th, 2012.
